TREMENDOUS CRISPY FRIED MUSHROOMS WITH COOL RANCH DIP

Ingredients:
For the Fried Mushrooms:
1 lb button mushrooms, cleaned and stems trimmed
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetable oil for frying
For the Cool Ranch Dip:
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Mushrooms:

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
Bread the Mushrooms:

Place flour in one bowl, buttermilk in another bowl, and a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
Dip each mushroom in flour, then buttermilk, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
Fry the Mushrooms:

Fry mushrooms in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.
Prepare the Cool Ranch Dip:

In a small bowl, mix together sour cream, mayonnaise, and ranch seasoning mix. Stir in fresh chives if using.
Serve:

Serve crispy fried mushrooms hot with cool ranch dip on the side
